About Us

Brooks of Water Artisans is set on our Connecticut family homestead in Litchfield County. Livestock and artwork have always been a passion of both Martina and Robin. Robin grew up riding horses and tending to her Nubian wether Gordon. Martina grew up starting small with showing rabbits to then taking the jump on horses and finally finding a happy medium back with the goats who stole Robin’s heart as a child.

With two of Robins’ sons suffering from summer eczema, the family started making goat milk soaps to soothe their skin. What started out as hobby has now molded (soap pun intended) into an up and coming exciting business. We strive to offer the purest productions with care and consideration of our client. We further believe that by taking the best care of our goats through closely managing their diet, lifestyle, and improved genetics translates to happier goats, better milk and richer soap to nourish your skin. Feel free to stop by our homestead any time!

The Goats.

Robin had always loved the idea of owning goats again. Her two legged kids grew up drinking goats milk and crafting goat milk soap to soothe their skin. After talking it over with the family, Robin decided to buy the farm’s first goats. In the summer of 2017, we welcomed our first goats, Tinkerbell, Anna, Stormy and Rosebud to the farm. From there, the goats quickly became farm favorites, and each year we welcome new additions to the herd!

Studio Work at The Art Barn.

The Art Barn is a passion Robin takes full credit for. With a creative mind and an innovation for new challenges, she loves to work with anyone who shares the same values, passion and love for art and creativity. Descending from a long line of artists and artisans, the passion for creating comes naturally. Inspired by what she enjoys most, nature and animals, Robin works primarily in acrylics but has done watercolors and oils. She loves to work on old barn wood or other woods that once had a previous use, such as cabinet doors, old bookcase shelves or even a door itself. She has been known to take old forgotten tables, glue them back together and give them new life with animals or pastural scenes.
